5 ideas

So, for our stop motion project we talked over the following ideas:

1) Inspired by the video game "I am bread" we wanted to focus on the principles of squash and stretch and anticipation as our hero, a slice of bread, makes a perilous journey across the kitchen to his end goal: the toaster.

2) A hinged 2D puppet to demonstrate arcs and anticipation. He would be hinged at the shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and feet. No story as of this posting.

3) Focusing on pose-to-pose and anticipation I wanted to attempt to animate a butterfly arbitrarily flying around and landing on objects; grass, flowers, and vines. I wanted to exaggerate the movement in the wings and knees to show take-off and landing. Also, use some secondary animation with the blades of grass showing movement in the wind.

4) Another idea focused primarily on pose-to-pose and anticipation is our cupcake idea. Using clay figures we wanted to show a mother and son baking cupcakes. At every stage of prep the child attempts to taste but gets scolded and told no by Mom. Finally when the kid is given the green light, he drops his cupcake and the dog runs away with it.

5) Similar to the hinged puppet, we would demonstrate arcs and pose-to-pose with a clay character walking.
